Vintage 1930s Moire Tafetta Bias Evening Dress This beautiful evening gown is a confection of sunny yellow moiré taffeta fabric. This fabric has that has that wonderful distintive "wave" pattern to the fabric when the light hits it. Stunnning! Just every so slightly off the shoulder neckline that frames the face beautifully. Portrait collar and fitted bodice with princess seaming. There are 18 tiny matching fabric covered buttons down the front of the bodice. Huge BIAS cut skirt flows and sways. Perfect for an evening of dancing! Quite a lovely evening frock it is! Very good vintage condition. Overall in great condition, but there are a few issues. Noticed a tiny very faint spot on inner part of collar. Three tiny tears in the fabric at the hemline where it looks like a heel most likely stuck into the fabric. A few small faint spots on the skirt. All this sounds worse than it is, but I want to mention anything that I see for accuracy purposes. With a professional dry cleaning, the spots should lift out, however we have not dry cleaned the dress.
