Whiting & Davis 1950s Silver Hematite Cabochon Bracelet and Earrings Set

Whiting & Davis started out making mesh purses in the later part of the 1800s and then went into producing a very high quality line of costume jewelry. Most jewelry that Whiting & Davis produced used either Silver or Silver plated metals. In the 1950s they had a reputation for producing some exquisite pieces and even copying some museum pieces. However, they are no longer producing jewelry and these pieces are becoming highly collectible.

This beautiful set is a silver five link bracelet that measures 7 1/2" long. Each link is 1 1/4" long by 1" wide. Each link is a hematite cabochon (which is a highly reflective surface) that is set into a saw-tooth bezel setting. There is a fold over clasp and also a safety catch. The matching earrings are the same as the bracelet link, except for the addition of a leaf design at the bottom of each earring. They are clip earrings. The bracelet is marked on the back with their trademark "Whiting & Davis" and each earring is also marked. This set is in excellent condition.
