Vintage Victor Costa Strapless Stripe Dress

What a fun vintage Victor Costa dress this one is! Even though this dress is not from the 1950s, it certainly does look like it is with the fun, full skirt. Bold graphic navy blue and white stripe cotton fabric is perfect for a casual afternoon or you could easily dress this up for a an evening out. Strapless bodice is boned on the sides for support. Bodice is pleated and makes a bust shelf effect. The pleated bodice is attached to the underside of the dress which is a sweetheart neckline behind the pleated bodice fabric. The bodice is fully lined in a white acetate fabric. The bodice (behind the pleating) has princess seams for a flattering fit.

Very full skirt that is flirty and fun. This dress was photographed with a crinoline underneath (not included with this dress) for extra fullness. However, the last photo of the dress is showing it without the crinoline if you prefer to wear it this way. It is adorable with or without a full crinoline. Comes with a matching fabric sash that you can tie at the waistline. The sash fabric is navy on one side and white on the other so you can wear the sash either white OR navy for two different looks.

Circa: Believed to be late 1960s to 1970s. Label: Victor Costa. Excellent vintage condition. The only thing that was noted is some very, very slight and very faint fading to the navy blue fabric in a small spot right underneath the arms. Almost not worth mentioning, but I want to state anything that I do see for accuracy purposes.

**** Please note that the zipper does work fine, it is just that the dress is just a bit too small for the dress form.
