1960s Pauline Trigere Diagonal Design Red Wool Coat Pauline Trigere was well know for her construction of garments and particularly with what she was able to do with coats. She could do wonders with coats. Always flattering to the figure and always done with meticulous care to details. This red coat with a black diagonal print is a wonderful example of her skill with coats. The line of this coat is on diagonal patterns and causes the eye to follow the lines and provide a sliming look to the figure. Great details in this coat such as the large oversize red buttons that also have a linear or diagonal feel to them, so as not to break up the linear look. Also a wonderful attached oversize scarf that can be worn wrapped around the neck to keep you warm on those windy days. Very face framing and flattering. Or could be worn simply hanging down the front, tied or twisted. Either way, very flattering. Side in seam pockets to keep your hands toasty. Fully lined in red satin fabric. Label: A Trigere Coat, and also a Saks Fifth Avenue label. Size tagged: 10. Excellent condition. The only flaw that we saw was a very tiny tear in the inside satin lining under the left arm.
