Vintage 1960s Designer TINA LESER Sun Dress Tina Leser was among one of the best American designers. In 1944 she was awarded the Coty Award. Early in her career she specialized in resortwear, beachwear & sportswear. Into the 60s she focused more on dresses (casual & evening) such as this day style that is up for auction. She continued to design into the 1970s. She died in 1986. This is a wonderful opportunity to add a Leser original to your collection. And this one is in a great easy to wear classic style. This beautiful sunny lemon yellow woven cotton fabric with slubs (possibly linen or linen blend?) sheath dress that is perfect for the long hot summer months. Sleeveless with scoop neckline and large matching fabric covered buttons at the top of the left shoulder. Darts at the bustline for flattering fit. Adorable embroidered leaf design done in contrasting white thread. At the hemline is a larger embroidered leaf design that is filled in with yellow and white gingham fabric. This extends around the entire hemline, front and back. Adorable little dress! Cotton or cotton linen blend fabric. Label: Tina Leser Original by Gabar. Excellent vintage condition. The only thing that was noticed is a tiny pin point faint spot near the waistline at the right side of the dress. Should come out with a professional dry cleaning.
