Glamorous 1950s Teal Silk Taffeta Evening Gown WOW! What an exquisite evening gown that is done in a beautiful shade of teal blue. This beautiful vintage 1950s gown has it all - STYLE, GRACE & GLAMOUR! Can you imagine yourself wrapped in the yards and yards of fabric in this dress and dancing the night away on your special evening. If so, then this is THE one for you! Flattering "v" neckline front and back on the tight, fitted bodice of this gown. The wonderful bodice has princess seams and a side metal zipper for just the right fit. Over the shoulders the material is pleated and is very pretty. The sexy bodice has a very flattering inverted "v" at the mid-section. The voluminous skirt flows from the bodice in tiny pleats that start at just above the hipline. The skirt is extremely full and flowing. It will provide you with just the proper "whoosh" as you go sweeping by everyone in this beauty! The back of the gown is very elegant and different. There is a lattice type design that is created with the material criss-crossing at the back of the gown and ending in a tie in the sash with the tails of the sash flowing almost to the floor. Absolutely beautiful! And underneath the yards of silk taffeta fabric on the skirt is an underlayer of tulle netting to provide you with additional fullness. The only label found is a paper style label. We have seen a Frank Starr Original gown that is very similar to this dress, however we cannot find a label on this beauty. Excellent vintage condition, very wearable. We did not see any tears on this dress, only noticed a small faint spot in the folds of the fabric on the skirt - see last photo for a detail of this area.
