Vintage 50s Black Cocktail Wiggle Dress by Maurice Rentner Wonderful, perfect "little black cocktail" dress with the black Maurice Rentner Original label. Fabulous high quality to these dresses from the Maurice Rentner line. Bill Blass worked for Rentner in the 50s and 60s and quite possibly could have done this dress. It has all the qualities of fine design. This black dress is a timeless and classic dress that will work today as beautifully as it did 50 years ago! Midnight black rayon crepe fabric. (please note some of the photos were lightned to show the dress details) Rounded neckline and fitted bodice with darts underneath bustline for flattering fit. Gussets underneath arms. Beautiful black satin huge bow accent at the waistline. The tails of the bow almost touch the hemline of the dress. The dress is fully lined in a black sheer organdy fabric. Very high quality dress that is expertly made. Circa late 1950s to early 1960s. Excellent vintage condition. No issues were noticed upon inspection.
