Vintage 1950s Red Velvet "New Look" Party Dress Wonderful deep red velvet dress that is PERFECT for the holidays! Dress this one up with some glitzy rhinestones (shown with our emerald green Boucher set from our private collection) and you will be the center of attention. Elegant, classic and so timeless in its design. Flattering v-neckline front and back. Princess seaming on the fitted bodice for that great 50s fit. The fitted bodice has wonderful seaming at the just slightly dropped waist. It is so hard to see in the photos, but there are zig-zag seams (front and back) where the dropped waistline meets the skirt. Very flattering! Super full circle skirt. The skirt almost makes a complete circle when laid out. Perfect for dancing! Long sleeves with notched cuffs. Please note the dress was photographed with a crinoline that is not included with this dress. However, we do sell them in our lingerie section. Label: An Authentic Sandra Sage Creation. Circa late 1940s to early 1950s. Excellent condition. The only thing that was noticed are two small pin point spots on the upper left side of the bodice and a tiny spot where the velvet has a "scuff" to the fabric. Very minor. Really a beautiful dress!!
