Vintage 1950s PAULINE TRIGERE Red Dress
What a beautiful Trigere dress! And with the rarer and harder to find early Trigere label that puts this dress around the early 50s. So for your collectors, this is a great dress to add to a vintage collection. Not only is this a great designer to add to your wardrobe, but this is a great look that is classic and timeless. And in a VERY FASHIONABLE shade of red which is really hot right now in the fashion world. Fabulous Christmas red shade that is cut with extremely flattering lines as only a Trigere garment can provide. Scooped neckline with fitted bodice and princess seams. Double darts at the top of the bustline for a perfect fit. Cap sleeves with seaming details at the top of the shoulder. Wonderful flouncy, six panel gore skirt to provide some "flirt" and movement to the skirt. Perfect little red dress that is timeless and classic in its design and styling. Perfect style for today as it was yesterday. Except this dress has dressmaking details that you will only find on a fine vintage designer garment! You find lots of hand finishing on this dress. Believe me, you will love it. I am only sorry that red is so terribly difficult to photograph. Very hard to show just how lovely it is in person. Fabric is believed to be linen or linen and rayon blend. (???). LABEL: Trigere New York. Excellent condition. The only thing that was noticed upon inspection is a very tiny, faint spot at the back of the dress below the zipper. Also noticed a seam that is just starting to become loose at the top of the shoulder. A stitch or two and it will be perfect. These two things are very minor, but we want to mention anything that is noticed. SOLD
