Vintage 1950s Corset Bodice Evening Prom Dress Fabulous corset bodice dress with a peplum!! The bodice is a lovely soft pale ballet pink satin brocade fabric with slightly darker pink tulle net shoulder straps. (The photos are showing up with an orange cast to them, but the dress is a true soft pink shade) The bodice is boned with two stays in the front and two in the back for support. The bodice is fully lined. The bodice is lovely as it is ruched and pleated to enhance the bustline. Also has a wonderful flirty peplum at the waistline. The skirt is the same matching pink tulle as the straps. The skirt is made of a top layer of tiered tulle fabric, another layer of tulle fabric underneath (that is not tiered) and then an underlayer of pale pink taffeta as the lining. Lovely vintage evening dress! Label: Jenny Prince. Circa 1940s - 1950s. It is in very good to excellent condition with only a tiny repair to a very small area of the tulle on the skirt. It can be seen in the photo of the tulle with the sewing stitch on it. And there is a very tiny wear spot to the fabric on the satin fabric at the waistline where the fabric meets the peplum. It is almost impossible to see unless you were really looking! Also noticed a small tear in the satin brocade fabric on the left side of the waistline almost at the seam.
