Vintage 1950s Pretty in Pink Organdy "New Look" Cocktail Dress & Matching Hat What a beautiful evening or cocktail dress this vintage beauty is! Stunning details and accents on this dress make it a perfect dress for so many occasions. Ballet pink organdy fabric is over the layer of the same shade of taffeta to provide a stunning look to this dress. Face framing collar of ballet pink satin accents the face, as does the matching satin fabric large round button on the bodice. Fitted bodice with darts and princess seaming for that flattering fit. The skirt falls from the waist in knife pleats and provides a fabulous full skirt. The exquisite skirt is embellished with beautiful pink floral embroidery that has flecks of silver metallic threads running through it. When the light hits this it sparkles! There is even a matching straw hat in the same shade that comes with the dress. Photographed with a crinoline underneath that is not included with the dress. Excellent vintage condition. No issues found. Simply beautiful! The only label found in the dress is a paper style/size tag and an old International Ladies Garment Workers Union label.
