We believe that it is most important for you to feel comfortable shopping with us and know that we truly value all of our customers. We fully describe each item and show several photos so that you will have the best idea of what we have to offer you.

Placing An Order:

Ordering is very simple when you place an order using our secure shopping cart and any major credit card. Paypal payments are also accepted as well as money orders, cashiers checks and also personal checks. International customers may make a purchase using their credit card, paypal account or may send us an International Money Order in US dollars.

To place an order using your CREDIT CARD: All our credit card orders are processed by Paypal and are secure transactions. We will never have access to your credit card or financial information. Please note that you DO NOT have to have a Paypal account to place an order using your credit card. When you have placed your item in your shopping cart and are ready for checkout, please click the "proceed to checkout" button. Right below the Paypal login you will see a link for customers who do not have a paypal account. It says: "Don't have a Paypal account?", simply click on the "continue" button to complete the billing process for your order using your major credit card.

To place an order using your PAYPAL ACCOUNT: Place your item into your shopping cart and click "proceed to checkout". You will see "Pay fast with Paypal" and a login box. Please login in to process your order using your Paypal account.

To order using a money order, cashiers check or personal check: Please send us an email at order@memphisvintage.com with a brief description of what you would like to purchase in your email - in addition, please be sure to include the ITEM NUMBER. Be sure to also email us your shipping address and your correct email address where we may contact you. After we receive this information, we will email you to confirm your order and provide you with the total for your purchase including your shipping costs. We will then place your item on "HOLD" until we receive your payment. It will then be held specifically for you until we receive your payment. Payment must be received within 7 days of placing your order. If for some reason or another we do not receive payment within 7 days we will take the "HOLD" off the item and it will once again be available for sale on the website. Please note that there will be a 7 to 10 working day hold on shipping until your personal check clears our bank. Cashiers Checks and Money order payments do not have a hold on them.

Shipping Charges:

All items that are shipped within the US are mailed out USPS Priority Mail and include delivery confirmation. The cost of shipping one clothing item is $6.75 plus postal insurance. We require insurance on all items shipped. Patterns are a flat rate of $5.00 including insurance. You may purchase as many patterns as you would like and there will be only one shipping charge of $5.00 for your entire order. The cost for shipping lighter items such as jewelry, scarves, etc is $4.50. Each additional item is $1.00. Heavier items such as coats will be shipped at a slightly higher cost. Please contact us for the exact cost of those items. At any time you are shopping, you may place your item in your shopping cart and click to view it and you will be shown the shipping charge for that item.

$100.01-$200.00 - $3.35
$200.01-$300.00 - $4.40
$300.01-$400.00 - $5.45
$400.01-$500.00 - $6.50

We are always happy to ship internationally and we ship USPS Global Priority Mail (cannot be insured) or Global Express Air Mail (can be insured) for those customers. For International customers, please contact us for the shipping cost, as it will vary as to which country we are shipping your item to.

Timely shipping is always important to us. We know that you are anxious to receive your item so we ship out as soon as we receive payment. That is usually within 24 hours of payment. The only exception to this is the hold on personal checks.

Returns:

Your satisfaction is very important to us here at Memphis Vintage. We know that sometimes it is necessary to return an item. You may return an item for any reason except patterns, lingerie and sale items as long as the following conditions are met:

• You must notify us within 24 hours of you receiving your item that you would like to return it. That is 24 hours from the time that the item was received by you as is shown by the USPS tracking number. Please email or call us within that time frame and we will note that you will be sending the item back. No refunds or credits if the item is sent back without prior authorization.

• The item must be returned to us in the exact same unworn condition as it was sent and the inventory tag must be attached. Important - please do remove the inventory tag. If these conditions are not met, we will be unable to refund you your money.

• We must receive the item you are returning to us within 7 days from when you received it as noted on the USPS Tracking Number. You will receive a refund minus any shipping costs, and a small 15% restocking fee. Please note that if we do not hear from you within 24 hours of you receiving your item we will assume that you are pleased with your item and the transaction is final.

Vintage Sizes & Measuring Information:

If you are new to vintage fashions then you may not be aware that vintage sizes are not the same as modern sizes. A modern size 10 is much larger than a vintage size 10. That is why checking the measurements on the item description are very important. A quick tip for checking measurements is to compare a garment of yours, that fits you well, against the measurements on the item description. Lay your garment on a flat surface, smooth it out and take a fabric tape measure and measure the following areas.

Always remember to take those measurements and double them. For example If the bust measures 18" across with your tape measure, double that and you get 36" for your correct bust measurement. Of course lengths such as sleeves and dress lengths are not doubled. Only bust, waist and hip measurements are doubled. Write down your measurements and compare them to our site and you will see if this is something that will work for you. Remember to please allow a few inches in your measurements for ease of fit.

Shoes are measured with a fabric tape measure on the inside of the shoe from the heel to the toe. The width of shoes is measured on the outside sole at the widest point. The best thing to do is to measure a pair of your shoes and compare that measurement to the one in the item description. Please email us if you have any questions on measurements.


Vintage clothing is not new (unless it is specifically stated on the web page that it is new, "deadstock" or "old new stock") and these vintage garments will show signs of previous normal wear. Each piece of vintage clothing is unique and truly one of a kind. Unless it is new, it will not be perfect so please do not expect a perfect unworn garment. These are vintage / antique pieces and each has had a "previous life". We try to list any flaws that we see on the description page. But if you have any questions about a particular item, just email us and we will be happy to answer any questions.
