Vintage 1950s French Label Wiggle Dress PLEASE NOTE: The photos of this dress have been lightened to show you the details. This dress is a deep dark shade of navy blue. NOT faded out. This is a fantastic vintage 1950s cocktail dress with a wonderful draped neckline. Beautifully constructed designer garment. High quality through out this dress. Deep dark navy blue rayon crepe fabric, lined in silk. Beautiful drape to the fabric. Fully lined in a silk fabric. Pinked seams through out. Fitted bodice with princess seaming and darts at the bustline. Gussets underneath arms. Deep "v' neckline at the back of the dress. Fitted skirt with four flat darts on either side of the hip for a flattering smooth fit. Seventeen buttons down the right side of the dress. Each button hole is bound, but the buttons do not open. They are for show only. There is a side metal zipper for closure. Great dress that is perfect for so many special occassion. Classic styling!! French designer label??? Label: Madeline et Cie - St Louis. Excellent vintage condition. The only thing that was noted upon inspection are two tiny pin point size pulls to the fabric at the bottom of the hemline.
