RARE Vintage LLEWELLYN Jet Black Lucite Purse with Metalwork Filigree Flowers Collectible vintage 1950s jet black Lucite purse handbag by Llewellyn. This is a harder to find style and is very unique. Shinny black Lucite purse in an oval shape with curving handles. Around the base of this purse is a beautiful floral art nouveau floral motif of metal perforated /filigree flowers that goes around the entire bottom of the purse. This is not placed over the Lucite, but is actually the bottom portion of the purse. It is see through, and you can see this is one of the photos pretty clearly. It is truly exquisite in person and would be a wonderful addition to a vintage Lucite purse collection. On the bottom base of the purse are four small molded hemisphere"feet" to protect the purse. The clasp works great and is tight. The purse is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or odors. Please note that for some reason the inside of the lid looks discolored or blotched in the photos, but it is not like that in person. It is a glare when the photo was taken. The only thing that was noted on inspection is that one tiny hemisphere cap is missing from the back handle attachment. This simply covers the end of the metal handle rivet and does not affect the use or stability of the purse. I believe this was a fairly common issue with these purses as the other purses that are similar to this had this issue also. The purse measures 7 inches by 5 and 1/4 inches.
