Exquisite Givenchy Couture Suit This is a most exquisite Givenchy Couture suit - Made in France. This suit is NEW, never worn and has the original Neiman Marcus price tag of $2485.00 still attached. By looking at the date code on the Neiman Marcus tag, it appears that the suit is from the 17th week of 1996. Please note that in person, the suit is a dark navy blue, but many of the photos have been lightened to show you the detail on the suit. Please note that this suit is not the cheaply made RTW with the "usual" licensed label. This suit is the high end ready to wear Givenchy Couture label. There is a big difference in quality - and in price. This is a finely made garment that is truly exquisite. This suit will work on many levels. Dressed up with some beautiful jewelry and stilettos and you have a wonderful cocktail suit. Or dressed down with some classic shoes, a silky shell and your briefcase - it is perfect for the office. If you wear just the beautifully fitted jacket with a pair of jeans and stiletto boots you have the perfect outfit for a casual night out. Or wear the wonderful skirt by itself, without the matching jacket, paired up with some white items and you have a wonderful nautical look. Very versatile!! The exquisite navy blue fabric is absolutely beautiful in person. I am afraid that the fabric cannot be appreciated in the digital photos. It is a tone on tone fabric with a butterfly design. Wonderful self bows adorn the top of the left shoulder and the front pockets. Flattering seaming on the jacket for a very slimming effect. There is a placket down the center front that hides the four matching fabric covered buttons. Both the jacket and the skirt are fully lined in 100% acetate. New, never worn! Mint!
