Vintage 1950s Novelty Print Full Skirt in a Butterfly Print

These vintage skirts are a "hot" look this Spring & Summer on the fashion runways! Prada, along with other high fashion designers, are showing these full, feminine novelty & floral print skirts in all the shows. Take a look at the fashion magazine scans. One is from Vogue and the other is from the Glamour April 2004 issue. Why have a reproduction when you can have the original thing! And be the ONLY one wearing it!!

This fantastic novelty skirt is done in a butterfly print. Crisp cotton fabric in a gray background with the print in shades of lemon yellow, orangey-red, black and white. Super full skirt that is shown with a crinoline underneath for added fullness, (crinoline not included in the auction) but looks equally wonderful without the crinoline. Gently pleated waistline with small belt loops. Fabulous skirt to pair up with so many things. Dress it up for a night out or wear with a cute halter top & mules for a day out. Can't go wrong with a fantastic vintage novelty print skirt! No zipper, simply a hook and eye for closure. Excellent vintage condition, appears to have never been worn. Crisp fabric with bold colors. No tears, spots or holes. The only thing noticed is that the hem is unfinished. This is a great thing as you can hem this to the exact length that you would like.

  • Waist: 28"
  • Length: 33" long (unfinished hem)
