Vintage 1950s Dramatic & Dreamy Sarong Dress Another wonderful party dress! Perfect little dress for a garden party or an evening out. This dress has a full skirt with the addition of a sarong or tulip design. There is also a matching fabric bow accent on the left hip near the sarong area. Fitted bodice with princess seams for a great fit. Short, cap sleeves. Matching fabric piping accents the waistline. Full skirt with three small pleats on each side of the waistline. There is an attached pink tulle crinoline underneath to provide some fullness. (Please note - this dress was NOT photographed with an additional crinoline.) The color of the dress is a rose background with darker shades of rose and purple making up the floral design on the fabric. Not positive about the fabric type - there is no fabric tag. It is a small ribbed fabric with a slight sheen to it. Possibly silk, but not sure. Fully lined in a rose colored acetate or rayon fabric. Really a great little party dress in a beautiful color! Circa: 1950s. Label: only an old Union Label found inside. Excellent vintage condition. No stains, rips or spots. The only thing that was noticed - and this is very minor - is a very small area on two bodice seams that is just ever so slightly stretched. I am just mentioning as I am very picky!
