1930s Blue Satin Bias Hollywood Glamour Gown by Kalmour Bill Blass ? This is an absolutely stunning royal blue satin bias gown. What an entrance you will make in this vintage 1930s evening gown. This dress has the "Original Kalmour Gown" label which is the New York company that back in the late 1930s Bill Blass sold sketches to when he was just starting out in the design business. This gown can possibly be a very, very early Bill Blass design. A true Hollywood Glamour gown! You will feel like you just stepped out of the movies in this dress. The satin fabric is luxurious and skims over the body to flatter your curves. The bodice on the gown is fitted with soft pleats at the bustline and an angled seam underneath that to provide a lovely waistline accent. The front closes with two snaps. There is a side metal zipper for closure. Padded shoulders to provide the correct silhouette. Shoulders are also gently pleated at the top. The skirt consists of yards and yards of satin fabric that shimmer in the light. Looks like liquid blue water! The skirt is cut on the bias to provide that wonderful drape and it is also just slightly longer in the back to provide you that perfect exit. Have the gown puddle at your feet, or open it up to its full diameter to surround you in satin. A stunning evening gown that will have all eyes on you. Label: Original Kalmour Gown Very good vintage condition. There are some very faint spots on the satin fabric that you can only see when held at a certain angle in the bright light. These fall into the voluminous folds of the skirt. Noticed a very small half inch faded spot on the top of the shoulder at the shoulder seam. There are some "pricks" to the satin which is due to the nature of the fabric. All this is minor and does not compromise the absolute beauty of this rare gown.
