Vintage Hollywood Chiffon Dress with Bias Cut

This is one of those dresses that you look at and can imagine Ginger Rodgers dancing the night away in. Soft, flowing, sheer chiffon graces this creation. There are yards and yards of soft silk chiffon that will catch the breeze as you move in this wonderful gown.

Beautiful deeply "v" neckline that is pleated and gently drapes the neckline. Exquisite see-through Chantilly (??) lace adorns the bodice and provides an illusion bodice look to the gown. The lace sleeves are scalloped at the cuff. Underneath the chiffon layer of the dress is a taffeta lining in a soft lilac shade that is cut on the bias. This beautiful dress has a huge skirt! And also comes with the original matching fabric belt. Circa: late 1940s to mid 1950s. Very good vintage condition. Upon inspection, I did notice a couple of very faint spots on the bodice near the pleating. The photo makes them appear darker than they actually are. Also a few marks at the hemline that look like scuff marks from a heel and a faint spot on the back of the skirt. Please take a look at the photos of those areas that are shown in detail. Spots should come out with a professional dry cleaning.
