Black Beauty - Vintage 1950s Strapless Corset Party Dress Please note that some of the photos have been lightened in order to show you the details of the dress. In person, it is a deep, dark black, not faded. This is a fantastic vintage midnight black evening or party dress! This black beauty has it all! Seductive, smoldering fabulous evening look. Have fun accessorizing it with gloves and jewelry! What a black beauty of a dress this one is!! Fabulous strapless bodice that has a sweetheart neckline that is edged in ruffled tulle. The corset-type look bodice of the dress is black lace that is lined in black rayon or acetate fabric. The entire bodice is accented with iridescent sequins that have a tiny seed bead on each sequin. Each of these has been hand sewn on to the dress! The bodice is boned front and back for support. The bodice tapers to a "v" with the bottom being edged in the ruffle tulle just like the top of the bodice is. The large full skirt is TWO layers of black tulle and then the black rayon or acetate skirt. Fabulous black, sexy dress that is just wonderful!! Reminds me of a Fred Perlberg dress that we had last year, but this dress doesn't have a label. Possibly a Fred Perlberg, but not sure??? Circa 1950s. Excellent vintage condition. The only thing that was noted upon inspection is that there are two repairs to the tulle at the hemline. Hard to even see. The sequins are in excellent shape.
