Vintage 1940s Black Rayon Satin Slip or Slip Dress by Rhythm Lingerie Rare Rhythm Lingerie slip. Fabulous vintage 1940s slinky deep dark black satin slip. This slip is really too great to hide underneath clothes - it would make a wonderful dress! This slip is made from Bur-Mil quality satin which is from Dupont nylon and rayon. Fantastic bodice on this slip as there is a soutache type embroidery done across the top of the bodice and underneath the arms. Hard to see in the photos as it is so black. There are three form fitting darts underneath each bust for a great fit in the bodice. The size is marked a 32 on the vintage tag. Will allow some variation in bust size due to the cross over style of the bodice. Satin straps with metal sliders. Circa: 1940s. Label: Rhythm Lingerie. Size: 32". Very good vintage condition. The only thing noted are a couple of tiny "picks" to the satin near the lower back portion of the slip. Also a seam on the right side near the underarm could use reinforcing as it is starting to come loose.
