Vintage 1950S Black Taffeta Party Dress Beautiful vintage 1950s evening dress with the most wonderful skirt! Rayon crepe bodice with flattering cut-out neckline. Fitted bodice with princess seaming front and back for a flattering fit. Three-quarter length sleeves accented with turned up and notched black taffeta cuffs. Bodice has five matching fabric covered buttons down the center front for closure. Fabulous and full black taffeta circle skirt. Note the dropped waistline on the dress and how it is longer in the back than the front. Very flattering and makes for wonderful entrances - and exits! This dress comes with it's original matching fabric belt. Looks great with or without the belt also. **Please note that photos have been lightened up a bit in order to show the details of the dress. It is a midnight black color. Circa 1950, possibly a bit earlier. The only label that was found on the dress is a "Helen of Memphis" label which was a high end women's boutique. Hasn't been in business for quite some time. Excellent vintage condition. No issues were noted upon inspection.
